DULUTH, MN – The La Crosse Loggers topped the Duluth Huskies for the second straight day, defeating them by a final score of 8-4 in front of 1,051 fans at Wade Stadium in Duluth, Minn. on Tuesday night.

Garrett Christman (Butler) tossed five innings of one-run baseball to earn the victory for the Lumbermen who broke the game open with three runs in the sixth and three more in the ninth en route to the 8-4 victory.  Andrew Owen (Villanova), Johnny Croley (Reinhardt) and Chris Boettcher (Indianapolis) relieved Christman to keep the Huskies bats at bay.

La Crosse pounded out eleven hits on the night, led by Kennie Taylor's three-hit night that raised his season average to a team-best .341.  Taylor was joined by fellow outfielder Jeremy Ydens (UCLA) who also collected three safeties along with scoring a run and driving in another.

The Loggers will now embark upon a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday with game #1 taking place at 12:05 p.m. in Rochester, Minn.  Air time on the Logger Nation Station, 102.7 FM, is set for 11:30 a.m.  Those same two teams will then travel to Copeland Park in La Crosse for the nightcap beginning at 7:05 p.m.
