MANKATO, MN – Mankato starter Tyler Lesley spun eight shutout innings en route to a 8-0 Moondogs victory over the visiting La Crosse Loggers on Sunday night at Franklin Rogers Memorial Stadium.

Loggers starter Garrett Christman (Butler) gave La Crosse another quality start when he limited the Moondogs to just two runs (one earned) over five innings as it was a 2-0 game heading into the bottom of the eighth before Mankato, aided by a pair of miscues, put up a six-spot to put the game out of reach.

La Crosse managed just five hits on the night, two of which came off of the bat of Kennie Taylor (Duke).

The Loggers will now return home to host the St. Cloud Rox on Monday night at Copeland Park & Events Center.  First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. but fans will want to arrive early at 6 when the gates open to be one of the first 500 fans to receive a 2017 team picture from Festival Foods and be one of the first 1,000 fans to receive an envelope with cash inside as part of the Loggers $2,000 Cash Giveaway.
