Bismarck, ND – One day after getting thumped by the host Bismarck Larks, the La Crosse Loggers returned the favor on Tuesday night when they slugged their way to an 11-1 victory in front of 2,003 onlookers at Municipal Stadium in Bismarck.

The scoring started early for the Lumbermen as they pushed one across in the first thanks to a one-out double off the bat of Shane McGuire (San Diego) who was knocked in one batter later thanks to an RBI single off of the bat of Korey Lee (Cal).  Bismarck would answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the first off of Loggers starter Chas Sagedahl (Southeastern CC) to tie the game at one, but it would be all La Crosse after that.

The Loggers would score three times on four hits in the fourth and then break the game open in the fifth by putting up a six-spot.

Four different Loggers recorded three-hit nights including McGuire, Lee, Harrison Freed (Butler) and Ramon Padilla (Illinois Central).  Padilla also drove in a team-best three runs on the night.

Sagedahl settled in after the first inning and went on to toss six quality innings, limiting the Larks to just one run on one hit while walking four and striking out two to earn the win.  Jon Meyerring (Miami-OH) tossed two scoreless innings of relief, striking out two and Cam Pferrer (Missouri) tossed a scoreless ninth, notching two more strikeouts himself.

La Crosse will continue it’s current four-game road trip on Wednesday when they travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to take on the Rox.  Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. with air time on the Logger Radio Network set for 6:30 p.m.
