St. Cloud, MN – The St. Cloud Rox scored eight times in the fifth and sixth innings to overcome a 4-3 deficit and defeat the visiting La Crosse Loggers 11-4 in front of 1,079 fans at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud on Wednesday night.

After the Rox put up two runs in the bottom of the first off of Loggers starter Mason McMahon (UWL), the Loggers responded with three of their own in third and another in the top of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead.  But that lead was short-lived as St. Cloud erupted for four runs in the bottom of the fifth and four more in the sixth to put the game out of reach.

McMahon (1-1) took the loss after surrendering seven runs, of which only three were earned) on four hits over 4.2 innings while walking four and striking out seven.

The Lumbermen tallied seven hits and drew eight walks at the plate led by two-hit nights from Harrison Freed (Butler) and Ramon Padilla (Illinois Central CC).  Freed also drove in a pair of runs.

The same two teams will wrap up this two-game set on Thursday night at Joe Faber Field with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.  Air time on the Logger Radio Network is set for 6:30 p.m.  The Loggers will then return home on Friday to host the Waterloo Bucks at 7:05 p.m.
