Trane, GECU and River Rats Bar & Grill announced as sponsorship partners for the 2019 Copeland Summer Concert Series
The staff at Copeland Park & Event Center, in conjunction with the La Crosse Loggers, are happy to introduce Trane, GECU, and River Rats Bar & Grill as sponsorship partners for the 2019 Copeland Summer Concert Series.
“Our vision all along was to help grow the idea of Copeland Park & Events Center, and further establish the ballpark as a premier music venue right here in La Crosse,” said Loggers general manager Ben Kapanke. “After bringing one major show to the venue in each of the past two summers, we had an opportunity to expand from one concert to two for the 2019 season, and that’s not possible without the support and help of these great local businesses.”
On Sunday, May 26th, the 2019 Copeland Summer Concert Series will kick off with a show on a weekend that is becoming synonymous with country music on the northside of La Crosse. Taking the stage that evening will be the Eli Young Band as the headlining artist, performing his hits which include the likes of “Crazy Girl”, “Drunk Last Night” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”. Supporting the Eli Young Band that night will be breakout artist Walker Hayes, with his recent hits “You Broke Up With Me” and “90s Country”.
For the first time in Copeland Park & Event Center history, there won’t be just one major concert on the ball diamond this summer, as the La Crosse Loggers are thrilled to welcome in country star Billy Currington on Friday, August 2nd. The songwriter has produced 11 number one hits on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Songs Chart since 2003, including classics “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right” and “People Are Crazy”, as well as recent sensations “Don’t It” and “Do I Make You Wanna”.
The ability to bring in not one, but two major concerts to Copeland Park & Event Center this summer is made possible in large part to the major sponsors: Trane, GECU and River Rats Bar & Grill, in addition to media sponsors Kicks 106.3 and Channel 19 WXOW.
“People have really enjoyed seeing the ballpark used for a different purpose, and having such a great turnout of country music fans over the past two summers gave us the confidence to know that we could grow and add a second show,” said Kapanke. “We’re so thrilled that these community business feel the same way, and having the support of Trane, GECU and River Rats helps bring the feasibility of Copeland Park & Event Center to life.”
Tickets are available for both shows at lacrosseloggers.com as well as over the phone at (608) 796-9553. Tickets start at $34 for grandstand general admission seating, with field level GA seating and limited VIP passes available as well.
