LA CROSSE, WI – Former Logger catcher Korey Lee (Cal) became the fifth former Logger to be selected in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Monday night when the Houston Astros selected him with the 32nd overall pick.

Lee, who spent two summers in a Logger uniform (2017-18), just completed a standout spring season at Cal-Berkeley where hit .338 with 15 home runs and 57 RBI’s.

The Vista, Calif. native was a NWL Showcase Selection last summer when he hit .283 with six home runs and 44 RBI’s.  In 2017, the strong-armed catcher hit .266 with three homers and 30 RBI’s.
