LA CROSSE, Wis. — After falling behind 7-3, the La Crosse Loggers posted four runs in the sixth and six more in the seventh en route to a 14-7 win over the Rochester Honkers in front of 2,749 fans at Copeland Park on Sunday evening.

Kyson Donahue (Arizona) led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a double for the Loggers (29-29, 12-10), coming around to score on an RBI groundout by Cody Jefferis (San Diego). JT Schwartz (UCLA) played Trey Torain (George Washington) with an RBI double, and Tony Bullard (Arizona) tied the game with a two-run single.

After a leadoff double by Cole Elvis (California) in the seventh, Donahue gave the Loggers the lead with an RBI single. Jefferis plated two runs with an RBI single, and base knocks by TJ Byrd (Young Harris), Schwartz, and Matt Stinebiser (Duke) helped extend the La Crosse lead to 13-7.

Four different Loggers players collected three hits each, with Donahue leading the way, going 3-for-4 with four runs scored. Torain collected his first three-hit game of the season, while Jefferis finished 3-for-6 with three RBI. Schwartz finished 3-for-4, raising his average to a Northwoods League-best .393. Bullard collected three RBI, giving him 34 runs batted in, good for tenth in the league.

Hanan Mauldin (Birmingham Southern) earned the win in relief of Steve Bowley (Shepherd), allowing two hits and a run over two innings. Jack Filby (UCLA) pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth to close out the victory.

The Loggers return home Monday for a day-night doubleheader against the Thunder Bay Border Cats. First pitch times are scheduled for 12:05 and 6:35 pm.
