LA CROSSE, Wis. — The La Crosse Loggers swept Thunder Bay in Monday’s day-night doubleheader by identical 11-3 scores at Copeland Park.
JT Schwartz (UCLA) collected three hits in seven at bats on the day, raising his average to .395, tops in the Northwoods League. Matt Stinebiser (Duke) had three hits in the first game of the day, including a three-run home run in the eighth inning. Tony Bullard (Arizona) also had three hits on the day, including three RBI in the nightcap.
Tristan Harvin (Birmingham Southern) earned the win in Game 1, striking out six over six innings pitched, while Joe Cliver (Viterbo) struck out five over five innings to earn the win in his Loggers debut in Game 2.
