LA CROSSE, WI – It was the first game of a five-game homestand for the La Crosse Loggers tonight. Playing host to the Duluth Huskies, the Loggers would fight to the end to pull off the come from behind win thanks to Korey Lee's (California) walk-off sacrafice fly. The 6-5 win now sets the stage as the Loggers hope to continue this two-game win streak throughout the rest of this homestand at The Lumberyard.

Starting on the mound tonight for the Loggers was LHP Ryan Anderson (Nevada). Anderson would pitch 5.0 innings allowing four runs on five hits while striking out five. However, it was thanks to some impressive relief performances that the Loggers were able to pull off the win. LHP Jason Seever (Arizona) pitched 3.1 innings allowing just one run on two hits and striking out four Huskies. It would be RHP Charlie Fletcher (William & Mary) getting the win tonight, as he came in to record the last two outs for the Loggers in strikeout fashion. RHP Kevin Folman would be handed the loss on the night.

Korey Lee was the star of the night at the plate, as his sacrafice fly to shallow right field scored speedster, Cameron Cannon (Arizona). Lee would finish going 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Luke Rasmussen (Long Beach State) had a stellar night going 3-for-5 including a double, a triple, and two RBI. The Loggers' offense produced when it matter, which resulted in the 6-5 walk-off win over the Huskies.

The Loggers will take on the Huskies again tomorrow night for game two starting at 6:05 PM! There will be a post-game FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA presented by EDWARD'S MINI STORAGE! Saturdays also mean "Happy Hour" with HOWIE'S ON LA CROSSE! The gates will open at 5:00 PM. See you at The Lumberyard!
