The Mankato MoonDogs of the Northwoods League have published their promotional schedule, headlined by an appearance by Hall of Fame member, Herb Carneal. Herb will be part of the opening day ceremonies that take place on Monday, June 2nd against the St. Cloud River Bats at 7:05 pm.

Opening day, presented by Wells Fargo, will include a luncheon at the Best Western featuring Carneal as the keynote speaker, magnet schedules to all fans at the 7:05 game, a special appearance by Wally "The Beerman” and a post-game fireworks extravaganza.

Herb will be an integral part of all the day’s festivities, starting with the luncheon. Herb will be at Franklin Rogers Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the 2003 MoonDogs season. He will also spend time in the radio booth doing play by play for an inning, be the public address announcer for an inning, and sign autographs for a few innings during the game.
