MANKATO, MINN. – The Mankato MoonDogs took to ISG Field one last time this season to finish the series against the Badlands Big Sticks.

The Big Sticks struck first, scoring one run and leading 1-0 after the first inning of play.

After two scoreless innings, Badlands furthered their lead off of an RBI single from Moses Dokes (Dickinson State University) to make it a 2-0 game.

After a few more scoreless innings, Sean Griggs hit an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth to put the MoonDogs on the board for the first time. It made it a 2-1 game, Badlands still in front.

Jonah DeJong (Minnesota State University) tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI triple, making it 2-2.

Sean Griggs (Monmouth University) secured the victory for the MoonDogs in the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off sacrifice fly. Mankato won the game in a final score of 3-2.

This is the final game at ISG Field this season, as the MoonDogs did not qualify for post-season play.
