With the threat of rain looming over the stadium, the River Bats and the MoonDogs competed in a rematch of opening night. Once again, the River Bats bats were the driving force in their 2-0 victory Wednesday night. A River Bats home run in the top of the 6th was the difference in last night’s game.

A late inning rally was started in the bottom of the ninth, with 2 men on but Ritchie Price was struck out to end the game.

The MoonDogs gave themselves chances but were never able to capitalize and get the key hit they needed to put some runs on the board. Throughout the game, the MoonDogs stranded 10 runners.

Opening Night Part II was a success with the crowd roaring with Cheer Stix supplied by Scheels All Sports for all fans in attendance.

The MoonDogs are now departing on a 5 game road trip that starts in La Crosse tonight and finishes in Alexandria on Monday.

They return home Tuesday night against Alexandria as part of a 2 game home stand.
