First Win in 2003!

Will Krout tossed a three-hitter Friday to help the Mankato Moondogs pick up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory against the Lacrosse Loggers.

Krout, who will pitch next year at Sonoma State, threw the first ever complete game shutout in MoonDogs history. He walked two and struck out eight. Jeremiah Piepkorn went 2 for 5 with a run scored and Ritchie Price went 2 for 4.

The Moondogs picked up a run in the third inning and sealed the game with a run in the eighth. Jay Nessler and Joe Ness drove in the Moondogs runs.

Next up for the MoonDogs are the Woochucks in Wausau tonight. They will finish the 2 game series on Sunday and then hed to Alexandria for Monday night’s game.
