Beetles Beat Dogs

In front of a crowd of nearly 1100 in Alexandria, the Beetles took advantage of some costly MoonDogs errors early in the game and beat the MoonDogs 8-1.

Newly acquired pitcher Rick Cavaiana from Madison Area Technical College, joined the team Thursday afternoon in Alexandria, and saw 2.1 innings of action. He allowed just 4 hits and 1 earned run.

MoonDogs first baseman, Mike Dudley, saw his first action on the mound as well, throwing 1 inning and striking out 2 batters.

Aaron Moll and Jeremiah Piepkorn each had 2 hits in the game, including 1 double each.

Next up for the MoonDogs are the Bucks from Waterloo tonight at 7:05 at the Frank.
