In what was the most dominating pitching performance by a MoonDogs pitcher this season, and maybe only out done in the league by the no-hitter from Thomas Diamond of St. Cloud, MoonDogs pitcher Clay Tichota took the game into his own hands. Scattering just 3 hits in his complete game shutout, in which he struck out a season high 14 batters, Tichota never looked back from the first batter of the game until the end.

The tone of the game was set early when Tichota struck out the first batter he faced and also finished the game just as strong striking out 6 of the 7 final batters, including all 3 in the ninth.

The MoonDogs only needed 1 run to earn the victory and that came in the 6th inning, when with one out Ritchie Price singled, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch, then with the Loggers infield in, lead-off hitter Aaron Grant dropped a hit over the head of the second baseman allowing Price to score.

Eddie Camacho picked up the loss for the Loggers giving up only 1 run on 4 MoonDog hits.

The rematch will be Friday night @ 7:05pm at the Frank.
