Huskies Are All Bark and No Bite As MoonDogs Sweep The Series

The MoonDogs showed the Duluth Huskies who the big dog in this series was as they won for the 4th consecutive day, beating the Huskies 7-2. The MoonDogs have swept their last 2 opponents at home–the Loggers and the Huskies.

The Dogs jumped on the board early in the bottom of the first giving Will Krout an early lead. 2 Huskies scored in the top of the 2nd however they were both on errors which allows Will Krout’s unearned run streak to continue to 19 straight innings.

Krout scattered 5 hits over 8 innings of work with no walks before giving way to Travis "Starfish" Johnson in the 9th.

Offensively Aaron Grant had another big day going 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBI. Ritchie Price and Jeremiah Piepkorn each had 2 RBI as well.

The team leaves tomorrow for a 4 game road trip with stops in Thunder Bay to start and Duluth again on Wednesday and Thursday.
