The Duluth Huskies were able to put up one last run with 2 outs in the top of the 10th inning to scoring the go ahead and game winning run. They beat the MoonDogs 5-4

The run scored after an errant throw pulled Mike Dudley from first base allowing the runner from second base to advance to third. Then on a lightly hit line drive just over the head of shortstop Jeremiah Piepkorn, Ryan Chiarelli dove for the ball and had it just bounce out of his glove as he was sliding forward.

The MoonDogs were unable to rally in the 10th as they did in the second when they were down 3-0 and scored 3 of their own on 4 singles and a sacrifice bunt.

Jeremiah Piepkorn launched his 7th homerun of the season over the left field wall to tie the game at 4-4 in the 7th, and also tied him for the league lead in homeruns with 7.

Pete Troyer was 2-3, playing second base, while Ryan Chiarelli was also 2-3 in the game.

Tomorrow night’s game is Baseball Card Night presented by Hy-Vee, where the first 500 kids will receive a free pack of MoonDogs Baseball Cards. Game time is 7:05@ the Frank.
