The MoonDogs hunger for a win after last night’s heart breaker was well apparent in tonight game. Clay Tichota came out of the gates red-hot, baffling the Huskies’ hitters through 6 solid innings without allowing a run. Philip Springman and Travis Johnson each "pitched in" to combine for the 6 hit MoonDogs shutout. The MoonDogs won 5-0.

Jeremiah Piepkorn tattooed his league leading 8th homerun of the season, as it was also the game winning run off of Huskies starter, Kenny Anderson, before he was knocked out of the game in the 7th.

5 MoonDogs hat multi-hit games, including Ryan Chiarelli, Aaron Moll, Jeremiah Piepkorn, Jeremy McIntire and Mike Dudley. One of McIntire’s hits was a bases loaded 2 out single, scoring two and giving the MoonDogs a few extra insurance runs.

Tichota picked up his 4th victory of the season as he struck out 5 along the way.

The MoonDogs are off tomorrow (Tuesday) before returning home for a two game home stand with the Thunder Bay Border Cats starting Wednesday Night at 7:05.
