The largest attendance yet at Franklin Rogers Park this year (1222), saw another of the pitchers duels, the die-hard baseball fans love. Scoreless through the first 10 innings of the ball game, MoonDogs pitchers Brent Jackson, Ryan Hamilton and Travis Johnson were nearly unhittable, allowing only 3 hits. However, the Border Cats pitchers were right there, going toe-toe and keeping the score even.

In the 11th, a single, a controversial play at second base on a base running error, and a bunt loaded the bases for the Border Cats. A single followed by a sacrifice fly put the Cats up by 3 and that would prove to be more than what they needed.

The ‘Dogs were unable to force a 12th inning, when Border Cats SS, Matt Camp, made a diving catch to end the game.

The MoonDogs hitters combined for 7 hits, with a 2-5 performance from Aaron Grant.

Tomorrow night’s 7:05 game will be a rematch between the Dogs and Cats, before the MoonDogs leave for St. Cloud for a 2 game weekend series.
