For the second consecutive night, the pieces of the MoonDogs puzzle just wouldn’t fit together. Border Cats pitcher Justin Sokol, stunned the MoonDogs as he gave up just 2 hits in his complete game shutout. The shutout brings the MoonDogs scoreless innings streak to 21.

For the MoonDogs, pitcher Warren Rosebrock picked up his first complete game of the season going the distance allowing only 2 runs on 7 hits, but because of the MoonDogs offensive woes, he couldn’t get the run support he needed.

The loss drops the MoonDogs to 7-7 in the second half and now in a 3 way tie for first place in the North division.

Tomorrow the MoonDogs face St. Cloud with a pitching rematch of All-Stars Will Krout vs Thomas Diamond. The last time these two met, Diamond threw 9 innings of shutout ball, strikng out 16 MoonDogs hitters with a fastball in the mid 90’s but was out pitched by Will Krout who threw 10 inning of shutout ball striking out 11 on his way to a 1-0 victory.
