Due to torrential down pours and excessive amounts of rainfall over the past 72 hours, Friday nights game between the Mankato MoonDogs and the Thunder Bay Border Cats has BEEN CANCELLED.

Unfavorable field conditions at Franklin Rogers Park have been cited as the reason for the cancellation. Even with a break from the rain for the rest of the evening, it was felt to be unsafe for the players and too destructive to the field, to continue with tonight’s contest.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, June 12 starting at 6:05 p.m. Saturday’s games will be comprised of two, seven inning games, with the first game scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:05 p.m.

All scheduled promotions for both MAYBA Night and Let’s Make a Deal Night will be in affect, so all kids wearing their MAYBA jersey’s will still receive free admission, regardless of arrival to the first or second game. Also be sure to bring everything including the kitchen sink for Let’s Make a Deal Night.

Tomorrow’s weather forecast looks great, everything will be ready to go, and as they say in baseball "It’s a great day to play two!"
