On an absolutely gorgeous night at Franklin Rogers Park, the MoonDogs jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, as they defeated the La Crosse Loggers 3-1.

Once again the MoonDogs busted out early, getting a big hit this time from Aaron Grant. His double in the bottom of the 1st inning brought home Jon Shepard and Ryan Chiarelli.

Will Krout showed his dominance as he baffled Loggers hitters all night long with his array of pitches. On the night, Krout threw 8 dynamite innings of ball, allowing just 1 unearned, while spreading out 7 hits and logging 5 strikeouts in his performance.

Scott Sharpe came on strong in the 9th inning, striking out the final batter of the game to pick up his 1st save of the season.

After a rough start, the MoonDogs now find themselves on a 2-game winning streak. They will look to continue their winning ways against the same La Crosse Loggers squad as both teams wrap up this 2-game series.
