Nick Hall of Alexandria threw a complete game, as the Beetles took a liking to MoonDogs pitching in their 10-2 win Thursday night.

Mankato got on the board early as they scored a run in each of the first and third innings. After the ‘Dogs went up 2-0, Alexandria found their hitting stroke against ‘Dogs starter Skyler Young in the bottom of the third, and sent around five Beetles to take a 5-2 lead.

Alexandria continued to put up runs as they scored two in the sixth inning and three more in the eighth inning to complete the scoring.

Barret Rice and Jon Shepard were the bright spots for the MoonDogs offense, with Rice going 3-3 with a double and Shepard, 2-4, with a double, one run scored and a RBI.

The MoonDogs return home to face the North Division leading St. Cloud River Bats in what will be a fun and entertaining weekend for everyone who comes out to "The Frank.”

Santa Claus is coming tonight (June 25) as Franklin Rogers Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland as it’s "Christmas in June.” Then tomorrow night it’s "Budweiser’s Summertime St. Patty’s Day.” The luck of the Irish will be all around as the MoonDogs look to gain ground on the division leaders.
