Rochester’s Adam Sanabria tossed a no-hitter, as the Honkers went on to win 13-0 in a rain-shortened six-inning contest against the MoonDogs.

After a scoreless first inning, Rochester plated 8 runs in the bottom of the second inning. Brandon McArthur hit two home runs in the inning, starting with a lead-off homer and ending the inning with a 2-run blast off MoonDogs starter Manny Bishop (1-2).

The Honkers scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and 2 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning before the rain wiped out the last 3 innings.

Sanabria (2-0) picked up his second win of the season, walking just one and striking out 7 MoonDogs.

The MoonDogs will look to upend the Honkers and their six-game winning streak on Independence Day at Franklin Rogers Park. July 4th will be the first of 9 straight games at home for the MoonDogs, with the final game being played Monday, July 12th.

July 4th marks the end to the first half in the Northwoods League, with everyone wiping the slate clean Monday, July 5th.
