Huskies Snap MoonDogs Win Streak
(7/15/05)

The MoonDogs came into their match up with the Duluth Huskies sporting a perfect 4-0 record and two games ahead of the, 2-2, Huskies. The ‘Dogs were looking to extend their lead in the standings with a win over the Huskies, but sloppy play and missed opportunities allowed the Huskies to run away with a 6-0 win over the MoonDogs.

The Huskies were able to score three runs, all unearned, in the third inning and garner a lead they would never relinquish. The MoonDogs walked a total of 12 batters and committed three errors which allowed the Huskies to score three more runs and win the game 6-0.

The MoonDogs were led in hitting by L.J Mims and Shane Buschini. Mims went 2-4 at the plate while Buschini had two hits in three at bats and a walk.

Joey Haug relieved starting pitcher, Cameron Young, in the third inning. Working a total of 2.2 innings he struck out three Huskies while allowing just one hit and one run.
