(Mankato, MN) –The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce Jessica -Jessie- Hays as the new Ticket Sales and Marketing Manager. After spending the 2007 season as Assistant General Manager with the Kinston Indians (Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians), Hays is excited to return to her native state and help make an impact in the MoonDogs front office.
"I’m excited to go back home and be with family once again while I continue my journey in a career I love,” Hays said. "The MoonDogs have established themselves as one of the best teams in the Northwoods League and I’m thrilled to be joining the front office staff.”
In addition to ticket sales, Hays will focus on and help expand the MoonDogs market outside of the Mankato area. With her experience and passion, she will also play a vital role in numerous marketing and merchandise projects throughout the 2008 season.
"With two years spent in Minor League Baseball and one year with the St. Paul Saints, Jessie will be able to add a great deal of insight from her past experiences,” said MoonDogs General Manager Kyle Mrozek. "She brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm and we’re excited to have Jessie a part of the MoonDogs front office.”
Hays, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2005 with a major in Public Relations and minor in Business Administration. Following graduation, she accepted a Media Assistant position with the St. Paul Saints in 2005. After moving to Kinston, North Carolina, she served as the Sales and Media Manger for the Kinston Indians in 2006 then was promoted to Assistant General Manger for the 2007 season.
The Mankato MoonDogs will begin their seventh season in the Northwoods League on May 29, 2008 when they travel to face the Rochester Honkers.
