(Mankato, MN) Jimmy Reyes (Elon) pitched eight scoreless innings for the Mankato MoonDogs and Carlos Ramirez (Chandler-Gilbert) went 4-for-5 with a double and a run batted in as the Mankato MoonDogs continued their winning ways on the road defeating the Brainerd Blue Thunder 6-0 on Sunday evening.

Reyes allowed seven hits and two walks while striking out four to pick up his first victory of the season. Josh Castanza (Hillsborough CC) came into the game in the ninth inning and set down the side in order.

Michael Rockett (Texas-San Antonio) collected one hit for the MoonDogs, but drove in a team-high two runs increasing his season number to 15. This puts him third on the team in that category behind Ramirez and Wes Freie (Iowa) who each have 16 RBI on the season. Freie had a good night hitting as well collecting two hits and scoring two runs for the visitors. Cory Harrilchak (Elon) collected two hits, scored a run, and drove a run in one game after he collected his first victory from the pitching rubber for the MoonDogs. The third member of the Elon trio, Mike Lobacz, also put together a two-hit night, which included a double, and a run batted in.

The MoonDogs will look to continue their winning ways on the road as they send Blake DeVries to the mound this evening. Devries is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the season. In his last start, he went seven innings allowing three hits and struck out 10, but did not figure in the final decision as the MoonDogs defeated the Green Bay Bullfrogs 5-3. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm Monday evening.
