(Mankato, MN) – The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, announced that Thunder Bay (42-26 overall) clinched home field advantage in the North Divisional Series with a win over Duluth and a MoonDogs loss to Waterloo.

Game 1 of the North Divisional Series will be played in Mankato on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:05 PM. Both game 2 and game 3 (if necessary) will be played in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 14th.

This marks the first time Mankato has made the Northwoods League playoffs in the organization’s tenth year (seven as the MoonDogs). The MoonDogs clinched the first half North Division title with a 20-14 record, 41-27 overall.

Mankato will host their first home playoff game on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:05 PM (Gates open at 6:05 PM). It will be Baseball Cap Giveaway presented by Crystal Valley Coop. The first 500 fans will receive a free MoonDogs baseball cap. Playoff tickets are now available at the MoonDogs Ticket Office located at 310 Belle Avenue.
