Mankato, Minn. – With Minnesota Twins Night approaching, the Mankato MoonDogs would like to announce that Tony Oliva will be making an appearance at Franklin Rogers Park for the July 2nd game against the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers.

Oliva spent all 15 years of his career with the Minnesota Twins, playing from 1962-1976. Oliva was a eight-time All-Star and was named American League Rookie of the Year in 1964. He also finished second in the MVP voting twice, won a gold glove, finished with a career average of .304 and a mark of .314 in postseason play.

Oliva will be joined by host of Minnesota Twin staples as TC Bear, Sue Nelson and Wally "The Beerman” will also be at The Frank on July 2nd.

The MoonDogs are currently in first place in the Northwoods League’s North Division and have won four straight games, and eight of their last nine contests.

Start time for the Minnesota Twins Festivities on July 2nd will be at 7:05 p.m.
