Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Coming off a three-day break, the Mankato MoonDogs find themselves still climbing pgcrosschecker.com’s national summer college baseball poll. The Dogs were the eighth ranked team in the country in the July 21st poll, making a five-spot jump from 13th in last week’s rankings.

The MoonDogs joined both the La Crosse Loggers and the Rochester Honkers in the poll for the second straight week. La Crosse dropped from 9th to 11th and Rochester dropped from 14th to 18th.

The number eight slot is the highest MoonDogs have been ranked this summer, previously coming in at 9th two weeks ago.

The MoonDogs are currently 32-19 overall after winning the first half and qualifying for the Northwoods League playoffs. The Dogs are a half game up for home-field advantage in the North Division playoffs.
