(Mankato, MN) – After shaky pitching in Rochester, the MoonDogs Clint Dempster (Nicholls State) went to town on the Alexandria Beetles, in the MoonDogs 6-3 victory, halting their two game skid. Dempster struck out nine in six innings of work, while scattering three hits.

The MoonDogs put up four runs on the Beetles starter, Brandon Garcia (USC) and ran him out of the game after three innings. The MoonDogs offensive charge was led by Robbie Robinson (Valparaiso) and Bobby Jacobs (Penn State) as each picked up two hits in the win.

Sunday was a different story altogether. Starting pitching was the story for the Dogs again, Jack Wagoner (Florida Gulf Coast) couldn’t make it out of the first inning, allowing three runs, four walks, and two hit batters.

The lone bright spot for the MoonDogs was the eighth inning, as Danny Miller (Minnesota State) dropped a two run bomb, the MoonDogs first of the year. Robertson went 2-3 to up his average to .421 in the 9-5 loss.
