Willmar, Minn. – The MoonDogs (15-19) finished the first half of the Northwoods League season with a 10-9 win over the Willmar Stingers (18-17) Thursday at Bill Taunton Field.

In a high scoring game, the bullpens took over late, and the MoonDog bullpen did just enough to hold on for their fourth straight win.

Anthony Campanella (Elgin CC) made his MoonDog debut and earned the win as he threw three and two third innings of strong relief. Jonathan Montoya (Cal State Bakersfield) came on for a five out save.

The MoonDog offense continued their hot streak, scoring a season high ten runs on fourteen hits. Eight of the nine MoonDogs in the lineup recorded a hit, including Trever Adams (Creighton) who hit his fourth home run in ten games.

The MoonDogs are back home and ready to start the second half of the season. They will start with two games against the Stingers at home. It is Team Poster Night tonight presented by Northstar Aviation, tomorrow will host the Mascot Olympics.
