Mankato, Minn.—The Willmar Stingers beat the MoonDogs 13 to 4 at Franklin Rogers Park Saturday.

The MoonDogs were able to put up the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning, but were held with one run until the eighth inning. The Stingers scored in four different innings with thirteen hits.

MoonDogs pitcher Tony Dischler (LSU–Eunice) made the start and received the loss. He went three and two third innings and allowed five runs on seven hits. Stingers pitcher Roy Metter (Nebraska Kearney) picked up the win going six innings, allowed one run on six MoonDogs’ hits.

MoonDogs’ Trever Adams (Creighton) went two for four with two runs batted in. Left fielder Danny Miller (Minn. State) had three hits in four attempts and one run batted in. Stingers center fielder Isaac Ballou (Marshall) went two for five with a homerun and a triple. He scored three times and rove in four runs.

The MoonDogs will travel to Willmar Sunday and return home Monday to face the Brainerd Lunkers. It will be a tribute to Disco Demolition presented by PrintWear Graphics, so wear your tie dye and get in free.
