Mankato, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs were beat 10 to 0 by the Alexandria Beetles Thursday at Franklin Rogers Park.

The Beetles put up three runs in the first inning and never looked back. They followed with seven more throughout the game. The MoonDogs were only able to get four hits off of Alexandria pitching.

Pitcher Alex Blackford (Arizona State) went five innings, allowed six runs; five earned and struck out seven Beetles. Beetles pitcher Sander Beck (Maryland) went six innings, gave up four hits and no runs. He struck out eleven MoonDogs and let his bullpen do the rest of the work.

The MoonDogs will remain home tomorrow for a game against the Beetles at 7:05 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park. It will be Angie’s Kettle Corn presents Salute to Popcorn. The first 300 fans get a bag of Angie’s Kettle Corn. Come celebrate Orville Redenbacher’s birthday at The Frank.
