Mankato, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs lost to the St. Cloud River Bats 1-0 yesterday at Franklin Rogers Park.

It was a pitching dual the entire game. The MoonDogs were able to come up with six hits but were unable to score. The River Bats were able to squeeze out a run in the third inning on a MoonDogs’ error.

Pitcher Sam Selman (Vanderbilt) took the loss. He went seven and two third innings, allowed two hits and didn’t give up an earned run. His opponent on the mound Austin Wisroth (Wayne State) went seven innings allowed four hits with no runs and got the win.

Catcher Jeremy Rodriguez (Cal State-Bakersfield) went two for four on the night and second baseman Cody Fick (Evansville) went one for two.

The MoonDogs remain home tonight to face the River Bats at 7:05 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park. It will be Vikings Night present by KXLP, so come out and see your Vikings cheerleaders and Mike Morris from KFAN.
