Mankato, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs (12-20, 27-39) beat the Duluth Huskies (16-15, 33-29) 6-1 Thursday at Franklin Rogers Park.

The MoonDogs scored a single run in six different innings to get them past the Huskies. Second baseman Sam Lind (Vanderbilt) was a triple short of the cycle as he went three for five with a homerun and two runs scored. Left fielder Danny Miller (Minn. State) went two for two with a run batted in.

Pitcher Logan Odom (USC, 5-3) picked up the win. He went six innings and gave up one run on four hits and struck out three Huskies. His opponent Connor Hulse (Harvard, 2-7) received the loss. He went six and one third innings allowed six runs, three earned, on nine hits.

The MoonDogs remain home tomorrow to face the Huskies at 7:05 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park. It will be State Farm Night. The first 200 kids get baseball hackie sacks, first 200 adults get a can koozie and all fans receive thunder sticks. Come out and support your MoonDogs.
