Mankato, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs lost to the Alexandria Beetles 10-2 Saturday at Franklin Rogers Park.

The MoonDogs were able to get the first run of the game in the first inning but the Beetles were too much for them to handle. Designated hitter David Miller (Purdue) scored both of the MoonDogs’ runs as he went two for four on the night. Sam Lind (Vanderbilt) also went two for four with a run batted in.

Pitcher Sam Selman (Vanderbilt) was hit with a line drive early in the game and had to leave. He went two and two third innings, allowed six runs on hits and received the loss. His opponent on the mound Joey Grzywacz (Swic JC) got the win. He went six innings allowed two runs on six hits.

The MoonDogs will remain home Sunday to face the Alexandria Beetles at 6:05 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park. It will be Minute to Win It at The Frank! The MoonDogs interns take on some lucky fans in various Minute to Win It competitions on the field.
