(Mankato, MN) — The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce Greg Weis as the new Assistant General Manager. Weis fills the position vacated when Jessie Hays left the club for other opportunities in November.

Weis, a native of Chanhassen, MN, comes to the MoonDogs from his position as a Graduate Assistant for the Sport Management Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He also has experience working in the professional ranks with both the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx organizations.

"I’m unbelievably excited to join the MoonDogs family and I can’t wait to be a part of the great baseball and great family atmosphere the MoonDogs bring to the Mankato community,” Weis said.

Weis is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato and is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from his alma mater.

"Greg’s attitude and work ethic will help the MoonDogs make our 10th season a home run,” added General Manager Kyle Mrozek.

The Mankato MoonDogs, celebrating 10 years of family fun, kick off the season on June 1st at Franklin Rogers Park against the Rochester Honkers.
