Brainerd, Minn-The Mankato MoonDogs picked up their 12th win of the season Saturday night at Stewart C. Mills Field, defeating the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers 7-2.
The Mankato MoonDogs got an outstanding performance from starting pitcher Kyle Richter (USC) as the left hander picked up his first win of the season. Richter (1-0) held batters in check all night, allowing only four hits while striking out four. Nick Goody (LSU) struck out three more batters, now with a team high 24 K’s, en-route to his 4th save of the summer.
