Mankato, Minn. – The Mankato MoonDogs, a member of the Northwoods League, have revealed their Mystery Promotion Night on Sunday night, August 7th at 6:05 at Franklin Rogers Park.

The mystery promotion will be a mini-bat giveaway presented by Heyn Brothers Roofing. The first 500 fans will receive a MoonDogs mini-bat! This night will also be Vikings Night at The Frank! Their will be appearances by Vikings mascot Viktor as well as Vikings cheerleaders. The Vikings will also have a 50th Season Vikings Poster giveaway. The first 800 fans will receive a 50th Season Vikings poster.

The ‘Dogs will play the Alexandria Beetles this night. At the time of this press release, the Beetles are in first place in the North Division standings with a record of 19-8 in the second-half. The MoonDogs have been hot as of late and are right on the heels of the Beetles in second place with a record of 15-10 and are riding a six-game winning streak.

The MoonDogs series against Alexandria will wrap up on Monday, August 8th at 7:05. That night is also Back to School Night presented by Capstone and Hot 96.7. The first 500 kids will receive a free book.

The Northwoods League Playoffs begins Monday, August 15th. The MoonDogs have clinched the playoffs by winning the first-half North Division title. Their opponent will be the second-half North Division champion or the team with the second-best overall record, if the MoonDogs win the second-half. The ‘Dogs will host a home playoff game on Monday the 15th or Tuesday the 16th. Home field advantage will be determined by the best overall record.
