St. Cloud, Minn. – The MoonDogs just couldn’t find a way to beat the St. Cloud River Bats this weekend at Joe Faber Field., losing Friday night by a score of 3-1.

Shaun Cooper (Utah) was 2-for-4 on the evening with two doubles and scored the only run for the ‘Dogs. Cooper scored on a bases-loaded walk to Zak Wasserman (Louisville) in the ninth inning with two outs, but the MoonDogs could not capitalize on the opportunity. James Roberts (USC) flied out to left field to end the game.

On the mound, Jeff Rohrbach (St. Edwards) suffered the loss pitching 5 2/3 innings and giving up three runs on 11 hits. For the River Bats, Andy Urban (Hutchinson CC) got the win, pitching 8 1/3 innings and spreading out four hits and giving up one run.

The MoonDogs will return home for their final home stand of the season on Saturday night at 6:05, a two-game series against the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
