MANKATO, MN. The Mankato MoonDogs, a member of the Northwoods League have announced their schedule for the 2013 season. The MoonDogs will start the season at home on Wednesday, May 29th against the Rochester Honkers at Franklin Rogers Park. The game will start at 7:05 pm and will feature a special guest appearance and a fireworks extravaganza.

The 2013 Northwoods League regular season schedule will continue to have 70 games over the course of 75 days and will begin Wednesday, May 29th and run through Sunday, August 11th. All Monday-Friday MoonDogs home games will have a 7:05 first pitch and Saturday and Sunday games will start at 6:05. The first half of the 2013 season will end on Wednesday, July 3rd and the second half of the season will begin on the following day, Thursday, July 4th. The winners of each half of the season in both the North and South divisions will earn an appearance in the playoffs. The post season will begin with the Divisional round on Monday August 12th with the winners advancing to the Summer Collegiate World Series beginning Thursday August 15th. The 2013 All-Star Game will be Tuesday July 23rd in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
