MANKATO, Minn.–The Mankato MoonDogs Baseball Club, a member of the Northwoods League, is proud to announce the return of color commentator JJ Hartigan for the 2013 season.

The voice of South Dakota State University Woman’s Basketball, Hartigan will wrap up the school year with the Jack Rabbits Sports Network and head east to resume his summer tradition, broadcasting MoonDogs baseball.

The Sioux Falls, SD native will return to Mankato for his fifth season in hopes of seeing them take home the Summer Collegiate World Series Championship. The MoonDogs have reached the World Series the past two years, but have yet to win the championship.

"I’m excited to be back in Mankato for another season. My last four have been a great time, and I look forward to this one, hopefully it ends in winning a championship," said Hartigan.

Hartigan has gathered a few of his own accomplishments with the MoonDogs organization. In 2009, he was selected to broadcast the Northwoods League All-Star game and Home Run Derby. As well as in 2011, Hartigan was voted the NWL Co-Broadcaster of the Year.
