MANKATO, MINN.- The first month of the Mankato MoonDogs’ 2013 season has been characterized by good times, fireworks on and off the field and unfortunately plenty of rain.  Looking ahead to the month of July, there is sure to be even more great fun to be had by all who enter Franklin Rogers Park, hopefully without as much of the wet stuff.

As of the 8th, there are nine more home games in July, which are highlighted by a pair of marquee performances that are sure to be massive crowd-pleasers.  On July 11 one the most popular acts in Minor League Baseball, The ZOOperstars, will be visiting Mankato, presented by KEYC.  After entertaining MoonDogs fans last summer, the ZOOperstars are ready to bring their cast of silly characters and their zany shenanigans to the Frank once again, and will be sure to leave everyone in stitches.

Along with the ZOOperstars, another fan favorite from last year is returning to the Frank in 2013.  The Russian Bar Trio will be displaying their incredible acrobatic feats for MoonDog fans on July 25, proudly presented by Mankato Clinic and KEYC.  As seen on America’s Got Talent!, the group is one of the most exciting acts around.

Other July highlights include a few spirited theme nights and a pair of great giveaways.  Hooligans Bar and Grill is proud to present Strikin’ Out Cancer Night on July 13, and is giving out free pint glasses to the first 300 fans 21 and over, in addition to a pre-game hog roast with proceeds going toward cancer research.  While the pint glasses are a treat for adult MoonDogs fans, the kids are the lucky ones the next night, as Buffalo Wild Wings is giving a free mini-bat to the first 300 kids through the gate on July 14.

Get ready to turn back the clock and come out on July 26 for Sweatin’ to the Oldies Night as the MoonDogs wrap up their "MoonDogs Fit" program presented by Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union.  A night full of baseball and jazzercise is capped off with a fireworks spectacular sure to amaze the whole family.  Other theme nights in July include Summer St. Patty’s day on July 16, presented by Printwear Graphics and Hot 96.7 and Star Wars Night on July 20, brought to you by KXLP.

Whether you like show-stopping entertainment, dressing up, or free stuff, the MoonDogs have you covered in July.  Great seats are available to all remaining home games, on sale at the MoonDogs office located at 1221 Caledonia Street in Mankato, as well as over the phone at 507-625-7047.  To stay up to date, Like the MoonDogs on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter (@MoonDogsBall), or visit the website at www.mankatomoondogs.com.
