Mankato, MN – The Alexandria Blue Anchors (3-12) set the tone early, with a two run home run off the bat of Ricky Sanchez in the first inning, never looking back as they would go on to win by a score of 8-1 over the Mankato MoonDogs (6-10) Wednesday night at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato Minnesota.

The Blue Anchors put up five runs in the first three frames and remained in control as starter Sean Terres (1-0) went six innings only allowing two hits and fanned six MoonDogs, picking up the win.

Ricky Sanchez started the first with a bang for the Blue Anchors as he hit a two run home run off of MoonDog starter Reggie Meyer (0-2) who took the loss.

For the MoonDogs Craig Nennig went 2-for-3 driving in the lone run of the game.

MoonDogs will continue the home stand tomorrow night as the face off against the Duluth Huskies (10-5) at 7:05pm at The Frank where it is Replica Jersey Night presented by Pioneer Bank and Hot 96.7. The first 500 fans will receive replica MoonDogs jerseys. The MoonDogs will also be at The Frank on Friday night where the Human Cannonball will be on hand; first pitch is also at 7:05pm.
