Eau Claire, WI – The bottom half of Mankato’s lineup produced four RBI in a 5-2 win against the Express on Friday night at Carson Park in Eau Claire.

Brinn Bell and Eric Schenck-Joblinske would lead the Mankato MoonDogs (13-11) with identical stat lines, going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored each. Kevin Hall filled out the box score going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against the Eau Claire Express (9-15).

Eau Claire took an early lead back in the third inning thanks to a Brady Burzynski RBI single, bringing Sam Hurt around to score. Burzynski would finish the night going 2-for-4, while Hurt would go 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Express.

Brett Clark (3-0) earned the win after gutting out 7.0 Innings while allowing one run on five hits, allowing one walk and striking out four.  Austin Shulfer was charged with the loss, going 5.0 innings allowing four runs on seven hits, while issuing two walks and striking out two.  Sam Meyers earned his first save of the season while allowing one hit and striking out one in a lone inning of work.

Mankato has won eight of their last 10 games, and looks to sweep the series against Eau Claire on Saturday. First pitch is at 6:35 PM.
