The Northwoods League, the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, will begin its 23rd season on Tuesday, May 31, when all teams take the field for summer collegiate baseball’s most extensive schedule, at 72 games.

The Mankato MoonDogs will begin the season on May 31st with a two-game road trip against in Thunder Bay and in Rochester the day before the home opener. The home opener will be Friday, June 3rd at 7:05 P.M. as they host the Rochester Honkers at Franklin Rogers Park! 

In total, the MoonDogs will play 36 home games during the 2016 regular season at Franklin Rogers Park. The Divisional Playoffs will be played on August 15th and 16th and the Summer Collegiate World Series be held from August 18th through the 20th
