Mankato, MN – Many residents of Greater Mankato have already heard the news, but the MoonDogs want to officially announce that Kyle Mrozek – Vice President of the Mankato MoonDogs, will be leaving the organization at the end of next week.

Kyle has been the face of the MoonDogs organization for over 13 years, building their brand in the community to make it the success it is today. Kyle will be moving to a company called Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, working as a regional manager. The move is a great one for him, with recently having an 18-month old daughter. He is excited to spend more time with her and his wife, Larissa, with the more regular hours.  Kyle couldn’t be leaving on better terms with the MoonDogs, as the entire office is more than happy for him.

General Manager Greg Weis said, “This move is great for Kyle. Working for the MoonDogs for so long, he has worked many long hours as the sport industry demands, and deserves to have the opportunity to take the step in his career and see his family more. His new job includes more regular hours, allowing him to do so. I couldn’t be happier for him. He has been a mentor to me for the last five years. He has taught me everything, for this exact reason.”

The transition will be a difficult one, but thankfully the MoonDogs organization has continued to grow. In 2015 they hired a new full-time office member, Kate Froehlich, and in 2016 also added another, Austin Link. Between the three, there is a combined nine years of experience with the MoonDogs, and eleven years in the Northwoods League. The office is confident the MoonDogs operation and community involvement will continue to be a wide success.

“The decision was a difficult one,” said Mrozek, “but it was an offer that was too-good-to-be-true and I made the right decision going forward with my family. I just wish this was in September and not May. In my tenure with the MoonDogs, I have absolutely enjoyed it. I look forward to sitting in the stands, enjoying the game as a fan, and drinking a beer at Franklin Rogers Park for the first time.”
