St. Cloud, MN — Mankato won their fifth straight game of the second half, a real nail-biiter throughout the game. The MoonDogs were able to finally get past the St. Cloud Rox for the first time this season by a score of 5-1 at Joe Faber Field on Thursday night.

Drew Fearing cae through big for the MoonDogs. Fearing scored runs in the third and fifth innings, going 2-for-4 on the day and allwoing the MoonDogs to talk a 2-1 lead after the fifth. Fearing was one of three MoonDogs with multi-hit games on Thursday night, with Alex Tucker and David Metzgar makig up the three hitters who owned six of the MoonDogs' 10 base knocks. 

Ricky Digrugilliers threw a gem for the MoonDogs, allowing just three hits over 7.0 innings pitched, with one run coming home to score in the fifth. Digrugilliers pitcked up six strikeouts in his final start leading up the the All-Star break, which will be the next time that the Bayside, NY native will pitch. 

the MoonDogs added three runs in the ninth inning to secure the win, and Brian Gadsby took the mound to lock down his second save of the season. Mankato will take on the St. Cloud Rox to rap up this two-game set in St. Cloud on Friday at 7:05 PM. Listen to every pitch on The Fan Mankato.
