Mankato, Minnesota—The 2016 Northwoods League Playoffs kick off today and the Mankato MoonDogs are right in the thick of it!
The MoonDogs will be taking on the Eau Claire Express today at Carson Park in Eau Claire, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
There is a chance that the MoonDogs will be hosting the Northwoods League Northern Division Final at Franklin Rogers Park tomorrow night, and we would love to see you at the park cheering them on to the Summer Collegiate World Series.
Nothing is guaranteed, however, so stay tuned as the only way a game will be held at The Frank is in the event that the ‘Dogs win in Eau Claire while Willmar also defeats St. Cloud tonight.
Tickets will be available and can be picked up at the gates before the game, in their office at 1221 Caledonia St., or online at www.mankatomoondogs.com
The Summer Collegiate World Series is set to begin on Thursday and if the ‘Dogs are able to make it they will be guaranteed at least one game at The Frank, possibly two.
However, the date of those home games is still up in the air, as home-field is dependent upon the seeding of the teams making the Summer Collegiate World Series.
The MoonDogs will be keeping everybody posted with updates on all of their social media outlets (twitter, facebook, etc.) as well as on their website, www.mankatomoondogs.com, so check those platforms out to stay informed.
